James Scott and Josh Magennis will be available for Hull City’s trip to Gillingham after returning from international duty.
However, Tom Eaves will miss the chance to face his former club with the ankle injury picked up in last weekend’s Carabao Cup first-round tie at Sunderland.
The trip to Priestfield may come too soon for Callum Elder (groin injury), who is now back in full training, while Lewie Coyle will serve the final game of his three-match suspension.
“Tom will definitely miss the weekend,” Grant McCann confirmed. “In terms of timescale, we don’t want to put a date on it. We’re playing it by year with Tom over these next few days to see how he is. We’ll get a better picture when Tom comes out of the boot.
"Callum Elder trained today but whether it comes too soon or not, we’ll see. Callum hasn’t trained with the group, apart from today, since the back end of last season. It may come too soon but it was pleasing to see him back on the grass.
