Thomas Bramall will be the man in the middle for Hull City's Carabao Cup round one clash away at Sunderland on Saturday.
Sheffield-based Bramall, who was promoted to the list of EFL referees in the summer of 2018, took charge of just five games last term after seeing an ACL injury suffered in pre-season halt his progression.
His first game of the 2019/20 campaign – a League Two fixture between Scunthorpe United and Cambridge United – didn’t arrive until February 2020. The previous season saw him officiate 44 games in all competitions – primarily League One and League Two fixtures – in which he produced 102 yellow cards and three red cards.
Bramall will be assisted by Mark Cunliffe and Joe Simpson at the Stadium of Light. The Fourth Official will be Martin Woods.
