Hull City U18 Harry Fisk says the team battled well, despite suffering a 4-1 home defeat against Charlton Athletic U18s.
A goal from an unamed trialist wasn’t enough for the Tigers as they were condemned to defeat in the Professional Development League.
“Charlton are a very good team, but I thought we started well,” said the goalkeeper.
“After the first 15 minutes, Charlton started to get into the game and they showed their quality.
“We had to work hard, but they showed their quality throughout and the better team won.
“We’re disappointed to concede four after equalising just after half-time and it’s one of those difficult games to take, but there’s a lot to learn from defeat.
“Overall, I thought we battled well and competed well, especially as young team. Despite the result, it’s great experience for the younger lads, because it’s a little taste of what Under-18s football is.
“They’ll learn from the defeat, as will the whole team, because the lads will know what level they need to be at for Under-18s and potentially Under-23s level.”
