‘Unbelievable’ was the only word Keane Lewis-Potter could find to describe the feeling of winning promotion with his hometown club.
Lewis-Potter has been one of the leading lights in Hull City’s promotion from Sky Bet League One, scoring 13 league goals so far and playing his part in helping the Tigers to secure the three points they needed in a 2-1 win at Lincoln City on Saturday afternoon to seal the deal.
Speaking afterwards, Lewis-Potter said: “How can you describe it? You can’t really. It’s just an unbelievable feeling.
“The squad has been absolutely unbelievable this season. Yes we went through a little bit of a rough patch but we’ve bounced back to go on this unbeaten run that stands at 13 games at the moment. It really is unbelievable. The boys have been class.
“It’s a really special moment for all of us. A lot of us have never experienced a promotion before, and for the Hull lads amongst the group it really is an unbelievable feeling for us.
“It was always going to be tough to bounce back this season but we knew we had what we needed within the squad."
