Head Coach Grant McCann and midfielder George Honeyman have been nominated for the Sky Bet League One Manager and Player of the Month awards for January.
Hull City finished the month top of League One after collecting 14 points from seven matches, winning four, drawing two and losing one.
The Tigers kicked off the new year in style with a 2-0 win over Charlton Athletic – Honeyman providing a sublime backheel assist for the second goal, scored by Greg Docherty.
The following two matches, away to Sunderland and at home to Blackpool, finished in 1-1 draws, with the ex-Sunderland captain involved in the build-up to both Hull City goals.
After an impressive 3-0 home win against Accrington Stanley, McCann’s men produced arguably their best performance of the season in thrashing promotion rivals Portsmouth 4-0 at Fratton Park.
Honeyman bagged a tap-in and provided a league-high tenth assist in that thumping win, while also delivering the free-kick from which the opening goal was scored.
A 2-0 defeat at Accrington ended the six-match unbeaten start to 2021 but the Tigers responded with a 1-0 win over Swindon Town – Honeyman setting up Docherty to score the winner.
McCann is up against Lincoln City's Michael Appleton, Doncaster Rovers' Darren Moore and Oxford United's Karl Robinson for the manager accolade.
Honeyman faces competition from Rochdale midfielder Matty Lund, Oxford full-back Josh Ruffels and Sunderland striker Charlie Wyke.
The award winners will be announced on Friday morning.
