Grant McCann is remaining calm despite recent results but admits greater consistency is required to maintain a promotion challenge.
Hull City are third in League One but have only won one in six and now sit four points adrift of the automatic promotion places, having played two more games.
The Tigers travel to lowly AFC Wimbledon tomorrow and McCann knows his team must string a run of results together to put pressure on the top two.
“Consistency is key in any season,” said McCann. “We’ve done it this season – we started the season brilliantly.
“We’ve gone on some really good runs this season already so we know we’re capable of it.
“It’s just about finding that consistency, finding that momentum.
“The top two have got the consistency at the minute – Lincoln and Peterborough. They’re the ones that have found form and everyone else is searching for that.
“With 15 games to go, we’re in a healthy position. Of course, we can be better.
“If we reflect on where we are at this present time, we’re in a good position. We’re coming into March right in the thick of a promotion race.
“We’ve got to take stock of what we’re about, how we’re going to go about the next 15 games and stay calm and be very clear with our objectives within this building.
“Nothing is won in March. Peterborough and Lincoln are in the ascendancy, they’re probably the favourites now, but we’ve got to focus on our own job.
“We’ve got to stay calm, we’ve got to be clear in our thinking and we’ve got to treat every game with the same respect we have from day one.”
