Hull City are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Daniel Crowley on loan from Birmingham City until the end of the season.
The 23-year-old becomes the Tigers’ third signing of the January transfer window following the arrivals of Jordan Flores and Gavin Whyte.
Coventry-born Crowley spent his youth career with Aston Villa and Arsenal, taking in loan spells with Barnsley, Oxford and Dutch outfit Go Ahead Eagles before signing for Willem II in July 2017.
The attacking midfielder scored six goals in 50 matches across two seasons with the Eredivisie outfit and also had a temporary stint with fellow Dutch club SC Cambuur.
Signing for Birmingham in July 2019, the former England and Republic of Ireland youth international has made 45 appearances for Blues and scored against the Tigers in a 3-3 draw last season.
“It’s a great signing for us,” said Head Coach Grant McCann.
“He will make a difference in the front three and is versatile in how he can play, off the left or as a 10, sometimes as a nine.
“He’s a clever player and wants to get on the ball, wants to get on the half-turn, wants to create opportunities and wants to score goals.
“It’s three new signings in the last week with Gavin Whyte and Jordan Flores, and we’re really pleased with our business.”
