Leonid Slutsky says Oleg Yarovinsky will bring tremendous experience to the role of Head of Club Strategy following his official appointment this week.
Slutsky has been speaking about Yarovinsky this morning as he shed more light on what the role involves.
"Oleg is 35-years-old but he started working in football when he was 22," said Slutsky.
"He began in the scouting department with FC Moscow in the Russian Premier League. He worked for some years there and then he became the Sporting Director at Krylia Sovetov Samara, also in the Russian Premier League.
"The last four seasons he has been working as Sporting Director at CSKA Moscow and he has unbelievable experience in terms of the scouting process and relationships with players. He speaks fluent English, German, Spanish and of course Russian which is very important when communicating with players, agents and other clubs. He has a serious education after coming through the top Russian university. I hope that he will help this club's development and that we will have great results together.
"He will have a very good relationship with the scouting department also and will bring more good communication between that department and the team. That is very important for me and for everybody."
