Jon Toral admitted there was a real sense of disappointment inside the Tigers’ changing room after a positive week ended on a flat note with Saturday’s home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.
Nigel Adkins’ men were beaten 1-0 as their hopes of a third successive win were ended, although Toral felt his side maybe deserved something out of the 90 minutes.
“We’re disappointed not to get something from the game, and we probably did deserve something,” said Toral.
“We gifted Sheffield Wednesday a goal really and that gave them something to hang on to. It’s not easy to break through a defence that has a bank of five and a bank of three or four in front of it.
“We created bits and pieces and the referee and his assistant have come up with a big call at the end with our disallowed goal.
“I don’t know if it was the right call or not, but it’s that it came so late after the celebrations that was frustrating because we’re thinking we’ve got a point and we can push on for a winner because there was a lot of added time.
“We move on now and look to try and win the last three games.”
