Martin’s father and grandfather were both EFL officials and encouraged him to take up the whistle in 2002. Officiating his first Football League fixture in February 2011, the Staffordshire-based official established himself as a League One and League Two regular in the 2012/13 season while he also oversaw his first Championship fixture during the same campaign.
Mr Martin has run the rule over 28 games so far this season, dishing out 61 yellow cards and two red cards. He has previously been the man in the middle for two fixtures involving the Tigers so far this season – our 1-1 draw away at Reading in September and our 1-0 defeat away at Leeds United in December.
Steven Meredith and Mark Dwyer will run the lines, while Robert Jones is on fourth official duties.
