The midfielder, signed from Arsenal in August, enjoyed a productive display when the Tigers beat Birmingham City 6-1 last time out and he now wants to try and nail down a place in Leonid Slutsky’s starting eleven.
“That game against Birmingham was only my second start for Hull and I feel as though there is still much more to come from me,” said Toral.
“It was always going to take time to adapt when I arrived here. It was a new team that was being put together by a new manager, and the surroundings and environment were all new to me.
“I feel more and more comfortable here with every day that passes, this international break has certainly helped with that, and I now want to get better and better on the field with every game.
“Winning a regular place in this side is going to be tough because of the level of competition in my position, so I know I have to keep improving and show my best in games and in training.”
Toral’s next chance to impress may well come against Norwich City on Saturday and the Spaniard is expecting a tough workout at Carrow Road.
“Like any game in the Championship I’m sure it will be a tough game but we’re ready for it,” continued Toral.
“We need to use the confidence gained from our last result and take it into this game against Norwich.
“We’re confident that we can go there and get a result. We have to show that we can be consistent with our performances and results.”
