Silly Mistakes Have To Stop – Kingsley

14 September 2017
Stephen Kingsley knows that the Tigers have to cut out the 'silly mistakes' that have cost them dear in the last seven days.

Away defeats at Derby County and Fulham have seen Leonid Slutsky’s side drop down the early season Championship table and Kingsley says everybody must pull together to turn their form around.

“The performance against Fulham was more solid than the one we had at Derby last Friday but silly mistakes have cost us again,” said Kingsley.

“We looked a bit more assured in our defensive work on the whole and we used the ball a lot better in the second half, but after equalising we really should have kicked on. Another silly mistake puts us 2-1 down and leaves us playing catch-up again.

“We showed character and desire, and it was important to show that we have that fight in us after what happened at Derby, but really that has to be a given in every game anyway.

“Overall it was an improved performance and we need to build on that when we play Sunderland on Saturday. We need a full 90-minute performance.

“We have a good group of lads here and it’s about sticking together through this tough time. The only way we’re going to move forward is as a team.”
