Team News: International Players Return Fit & Well

07 September 2017
Leonid Slutsky was pleased to report that all of the Tigers' international players have returned to East Yorkshire unscathed ahead of Friday night's trip to Derby County.

Slutsky has been watching from a distance as eight members of his first team squad travelled to various parts of the world to represent their countries and with Jackson Irvine the last to report back this morning, the Head Coach was delighted to welcome them all back fit and well.

“We have been researching each player while they have been away and have all of the details about what they have been doing and information about the matches they have played in,” said Slutsky.

“All of that information has been positive. Jackson Irvine was the only one I hadn’t seen before today and of course that is difficult because we play tomorrow and he will only have one training session with us. However, we know he is at a good level and has a chance of playing against Derby County.”

As well as Irvine, Slutsky could hand debuts to recent signings Nouha Dicko and Fikayo Tomori, while Stephen Kingsley and Jon Toral are pushing for first starts.

Markus Henriksen is available again after recovering from a foot injury, although late decisions will be made on the fitness of Fraizer Campbell (groin), Evandro (hamstring) and Ondrej Mazuch (knee).

Abel Hernandez, Kevin Stewart, Ryan Mason, Will Keane and Moses Odubajo remain absent with longer-term injury problems.
