Team News: No New Injury Concerns But Elder & Toral Remain Unavailable For Huddersfield Trip

03 October 2019
Grant McCann has no fresh injury worries ahead of Saturday’s game against Huddersfield Town but remains without the services of Callum Elder and Jon Toral.

Although the duo have returned to the training pitch this week after recovering from muscle problems, the trip to the John Smith’s Stadium has come too soon for both to make their return to competitive action.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Head Coach Grant McCann said: “There are no new concerns, which is good. Everyone came through Tuesday night’s game, so we look in a good place.

“Callum (Elder) and Jon Toral have both been on the grass in the last few days but not with us (the rest of the team). They’re getting closer though and we’ll probably have those two back with the group on Tuesday or Wednesday next week.”

Huddersfield are hopeful that both Terence Kongolo and Alex Pritchard will be available to face the Tigers. Club record signing Kongolo has missed the Terriers’ last games against Millwall and Stoke City with a calf issue, while Pritchard has been out of action with a knee injury¬†since the end of August.

Collin Quaner remains sidelined with a hip injury that has limited him to just two appearances so far this season.
