Toral Eager To Be Involved Against Chelsea

14 February 2018
Jon Toral is eager to be involved in Friday night's Emirates FA Cup Fifth Round clash with Chelsea and says the Tigers will head to Stamford Bridge focused on winning the tie.

The Spanish midfielder produced an impressive performance on his return to the Tigers’ starting line-up in Saturday’s league encounter at Nottingham Forest, scoring his first goal for the Club in the morale-boosting 2-0 win, and hopes to retain his place in Nigel Adkins’ starting line-up when the Tigers face the reigning Premier League champions for a place in the last eight of the famous cup competition.

“Of course I want to play against Chelsea,” he said. “I want to play every game – whatever the competition!

“Ask any of the lads and they will all say exactly the same. We all love to play this wonderful sport.

“It will be a great experience for the squad to go to Stamford Bridge and play against Chelsea.

“You want to play against the best teams in the country – and Chelsea are definitely one of those.

“We got a morale-boosting win away at Forest at the weekend and we have to go to Chelsea with confidence and the belief that we can get a result. We’ll be going there looking to win the tie and progress in the FA Cup.

“We know it will be a tough, tough game – but it’s 90 minutes of football and as we all know in this sport, anything can happen.”
