Weir Likely To Miss Rest Of Season With Knee Injury

23 November 2017
James Weir is likely to miss the rest of the season after having surgery on a serious knee injury this week.

Weir picked up the injury when playing for the Tigers’ U23s last weekend and is expected to be out of action for six months.

“It is not a nice situation for James or for us and he had an operation yesterday,” said Head Coach Leonid Slutsky.

“He will probably miss six months now and we are very sorry for him.”

Weir has made four senior appearances this season, the most recent of which came in the 6-1 thrashing of Birmingham City at the end of September.
